I’m 60 years old, married with one child. We live in Cedar Springs Michigan. I have been building models since the early sixties. I started with Airfix 1/72nd scale aircraft and even then would make cockpits for the planes with card board and tooth picks or what ever I could find. I do not think I ever built a kit straight out of the box. I fell in love with tanks soon after finding the Airfix 72nd scale kits at the local 5 and 10 cent store. Then a few years later found a real hobby shop that carried the old Tamiya 1/35th scale armor and that was it. I have been hooked on that scale ever since. I started to do small upgrade work with plastic after that and joined the local IPMS group. This is where I started to do my first scratch building based on the box art that came with the kits and what I could find available in books. I owe allot of my skill to a guy named Steve May who showed me how to scratch build back in the mid 70’s. I was injured in 2000 and was told I would never work again full time so I started to look around for some work in the hobby. I ran into Joe on line and we have worked together ever since. I owe any success to God who I believe brought Joe and I together.
